Road Trip Baby Style

Ava took her first road trip over the Fourth of July weekend. We thought it would be a fun opportunity to visit family in Nebraska and introduce her to her aunts and cousins. We were a little worried about the drive so we only drove half way the first night and spent the evening at the Marriot in North Platte. Mike and I even took her down to the hot tub and sat her in her car seat so we could enjoy a nice soak in the water. We had such a fun time visiting with everyone. Our days seemed to revolve around food and we had a cookout every night at a different house. We also went to a family fun center and played laser tag, rode go karts, and played arcade games. It was a great time! Ava loved meeting everyone and did very well. She certainly had some fussy moments but not as many as we have been used to. She loved the attention and being held by everyone and her cousins and aunties love her so much. We are heading back in August and so excited for another visit.

PS…The very last picture is how I found Ava and Mike the night we drove back. They were all tuckered out on our bed at 7 p.m. So cute!
