11 weeks old!!! Ava had a big week for 11 weeks old. She had her follow-up with her specialist after the swallow test and again, we changed formula. She also spent time with Grandpa Jerry and Nana Judy for the first time. We were supposed to journey to Nebraska for a visit with everyone but because of the medical challenges Ava was having the doctor didn’t want us out of sight of a major hospital so we had to cancel our trip. We are very lucky because my Dad and Judy were able to make the trip down here also to spend time with us and Ava. We went up to Rocky Mountain National Park and spent some time up there, went out to eat lots, went to her appointments and just spent time hanging. Mike and I also snuck out on Saturday night to attend the Broncos game which was a great time and luckily, we won. Ava is playing with her hands more and more. She is also kicking a lot and loves to kick in the tub. She’s doing a great job at sleeping during the night (most nights), yet I am still exhausted. She did have a wonderful night on Friday and slept 10 ½ hours, every parents dream. Every time we take her places people think she is at least four months. She’s still small, she’s 11 lbs and 13 oz and 23 inches long (50th percentile), but since she is so alert and attentive people assume she’s older. Her back and neck are so strong. She can hold the sitting pose for a very long time. She loves to be entertained and coo with people. This week it is the ‘oo’ noise that she is loving. I can tell she is going to be so social because she loves new people and smiling at strangers!

How could she not be a social baby with such a fun-loving mum?! You are so good to pay such close attention to her development and make record of it on your blog. That will be so fun for Ava to read when she gets older.
Such a cutie! So glad I got to see her in person!! Can't wait for next time!
