With the greatly anticipated arrival of our second addition we wanted to celebrate Ava and how special she is in our lives! Hence....July 27th was officially deemed AVA Day! We had a wonderful time celebrating our sweet little girl and all the things she loves to do. She's smart, beautiful, funny and vibrant. She'll be welcoming her little sister on August 2nd and we know she will be a great big sis.
Ava Day was filled with all sorts of fun. We started the day with a trip to Belleview Park where we rode the train and played with the farm animals. Ava loves trains, "Choo Choo", she says. At the farm she saw the goats, ducks, roosters and pig. She even milked her very first cow - it was a large fake one. After our time at the park we journeyed to BeauJo's for pizza. Ava has always loved it there. In fact, it's where we went to celebrate the day we found out we were pregnant so it's a super special place for us. The little girlie has a great appetite. She ate more than her mama! After lunch we drove up towards the mountains and went to the Butterfly Pavillions. She loved the room with all the spiders. In fact, we had a difficult time getting her out of there. The room with the fish was fun also as she found Nemo! The butterfly room was so hot but we found some very pretty butterflies. We ended our trip to the Pavillions with Ava by spending quite some time in the play area. The best part about our trip up to the Pavillions is that every time we would ask her if she wanted to see butterflies she would say, I want to see dinosaurs. I'm not sure why, but she has a recent obsession with dinosaurs.
As the day came to a close, we came home so Ava could take a solid nap. We rounded out the evening with hot dogs (one of the only meats she'll eat) and finger painting. Ava Day was great! So glad she came into our lives 2 years ago!
