Daddy's Home!

Ava is 6 months old now! I'm amazed at how quickly time flies by. She is such a joy to have in our lives. She started sitting at 5 months old and has incredible back strength. She can sit for 30 minutes on her own with absolutely no falling and nothing to prop her up. It's amazing. She continues to add solid food to her diet. She still loves squash the most but I think carrots are coming in as a quick second. She enjoys playing with shoe-laces, her spoon, and all her toys. She will put anything she comes in contact with in her mouth, including her cute little baby feet. She thinks daddy is so funny! She laughs hysterically when he hits himself and throws her in the air. She needs mommy when she's sad or just wants a change of scenery. She continues to love the outdoors and water. She hates it when she is put in her car seat or when she is getting her clothes changed. She is finally in a better place with church and coming to terms with the fact that we are going every week whether or not she screams through the whole time. She loves other people and will literally go to anyone. She studies people thoroughly and loves to be in crowded places.

This last month she spent her first night away from mommy and daddy and she did a great job. We were away for 5 days and she spent lots of time with her nanny granny. She has also been blessed this last month to hang out with my Aunt Judy and all of my sisters and her cousins.

Ava definitely has a mind of her own and it's quite an independent one. She doesn't want anyone to mess with her and seems to like to plan out her own day. She's so amazing and growing up so quickly! She's in the 75th percentile now and weighs 17 lbs 7 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. She is just a quickly growing little lady!
